In my first draft, my first priority was being able to say if not everything, then most of what I wanted to say to my audience. I had a few minor grammatical and punctual errors once my professor read and left her comments on it, but nothing too major. I believe that by composing my outline and literature review, it made it easier for me to organize and structure my paper. I knew the paper wasn't going to be perfect the first go around so I was very appreciative of the feedback I had gotten.
The most difficult part of my composition process was creating an introduction, conclusion, and transitioning between ideas, thoughts, and paragraphs. I have always struggled with these components and they have never truly come easy to me. However, I believe that this inquiry paper was a success in those aspects. My main goal was not only for the paper to make sense in terms of context, but in composition too. I wanted the paper to be cohesive and fluid.
The peer review was a bit nerve racking for me just for the simple fact that I did not know how my peers would feel about my topic, enjoy reading it, and find it informative. I received nothing but positive feedback and that only pushed me more and gave me the confidence I longed for. My favorite part of the peer revision process was not just getting feedback on my inquiry paper, but my peers as well. I enjoyed reading about their topics because our topics all tie into our majors or personal interests. It was very interesting to see how we were all able to tie in our topics and majors together to create our inquiry papers.
